My second instalment of James Herbert and another thrilling read. Completely different to Nobody True, Haunted tells the tale of David Ash a psychic investigator working to seek out phoney psychics and disprove the theory of ghosts and life beyond the grave. David is summoned to Edbrook House by Miss Webb who feels she is being haunted. During his three night stay he falls victim to the horrors of Edbrook and the games of the odd extended family of Miss Webb; Christina, Robert and Simon.

But don’t let this put you off, behind the horror and violence is a very confused young man.

Quick Review::

I wasn’t there when I died. That’s the chilling tagline behind James Herbert’s horror novel about James True brutally murdered and mutilated whilst having an out of body experience. An incredibly addictive read I didn’t want to put down, desperate to find out how the story would unfold. Would True find his killer, would he stop the killer striking again…. And then the big twist comes.
